Website & Platform Terms of Service
For Platform Registration - Crowd Annotators, AI Trainers & Vendor Partners
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
1.1 Agreement to Terms: These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website aisignallab.com and any related registration forms, assessment tools, and platform features (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by SIGNALCORE AI PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, CIN U62099UW2026PTC251815, operating under the brand name AI Signal Lab ("Company", "we", "us").
1.2 Binding Effect: By checking the "I Agree" box, clicking "Register," creating an account, completing an assessment, or otherwise accessing or using the Platform, you ("User", "you") confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not register on or use the Platform.
1.3 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, to register on the Platform.
1.4 Who These Terms Apply To: These Terms apply to all individuals registering as freelance annotators or AI trainers ("Annotators"), and to all vendor organisations, agencies, or capacity partners registering to provide annotator pools or related services ("Vendors"), collectively referred to as "Users" in these Terms.
2. NATURE OF THE RELATIONSHIP
2.1 Account Creation Only: Registration on the Platform creates a user account and profile only. It does not, by itself, constitute an offer of work, a guarantee of project assignment, or an employment, agency, or partnership relationship with the Company.
2.2 Engagement is Separate: If you are selected for paid project work, you will be required to separately execute a Consulting Services Agreement and applicable Statement(s) of Work ("SOW") with the Company, which shall govern the specific terms of any paid engagement, including fees, deliverables, and timelines. These Terms govern your use of the Platform itself and do not replace such agreements.
2.3 Independent Contractor Status: Where you are engaged for paid work, you will act as an independent contractor and not as an employee, agent, or partner of the Company. Nothing in these Terms or on the Platform creates an employment relationship.
2.4 No Guarantee of Work: Registration, completion of an assessment, or achieving a passing score does not guarantee that you will be assigned to any project. Project assignment is at the sole discretion of the Company and depends on client requirements, language needs, demographic fit, and platform capacity.
3. REGISTRATION AND ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Accurate Information: You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during registration, including your name, contact details, language proficiency, educational background, and any demographic information requested for the purposes of our Representation Framework. Providing false information may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
3.2 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify the Company immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
3.3 One Account Per Person: Each individual or Vendor entity may maintain only one active account on the Platform, unless otherwise approved in writing by the Company.
3.4 Identity and Background Verification: The Company reserves the right to conduct identity verification and, where applicable, background verification (BGV) prior to onboarding you to any paid project. You consent to such verification as a condition of registration.
3.5 Vendor Registration: Vendors registering to provide annotator pools or capacity must ensure that all individual annotators sourced through them independently consent to data collection and these Terms, or an equivalent vendor-specific agreement, prior to deployment.
4. ASSESSMENTS AND QUALIFICATION
4.1 Online Assessment: As part of registration, you may be required to complete an online assessment covering English comprehension, attention to detail, and a sample annotation task (the "CEFR / IPE Assessment"). Your performance will be scored and used to determine your eligibility for project assignment.
4.2 Assessment Integrity: You agree to complete all assessments independently, honestly, and without the use of unauthorised third-party assistance, including AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Copilot, unless explicitly permitted by the assessment instructions. Use of unauthorised assistance may result in disqualification and account termination.
4.3 Reassessment: The Company may, at its discretion, permit or require reassessment after a specified cooling-off period if you do not meet the qualifying threshold on your first attempt.
4.4 No Right to Work: Passing the assessment qualifies you to be considered for project assignment but does not entitle you to any specific project, volume of work, or minimum compensation.
5. ACCEPTABLE USE OF THE PLATFORM
In using the Platform, you agree that you shall NOT:
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information during registration or assessment;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other users' accounts, or Company systems;
- Use any automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers) to interact with the Platform;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform;
- Upload any virus, malware, or harmful code to the Platform;
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Harass, abuse, or threaten any other User, Company personnel, or third party through the Platform;
- Use the Platform to solicit other Users for competing services without the Company's written consent.
Violation of this Clause may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, in addition to any other remedies available to the Company.
6. DATA COLLECTION AND PRIVACY
6.1 Privacy Policy: Your personal data, including identity, contact, financial, professional, and demographic information, is collected and processed in accordance with our Annotator & Platform User Privacy Policy, available at aisignallab.com, which is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms.
6.2 Representation Framework Data: You acknowledge that certain demographic data, including self-declared information on language, location, and where voluntarily provided, caste category or religion, may be collected for the purpose of measuring and ensuring diversity in our annotator network under the Company's Representation Framework. Such sensitive data is collected only with your separate, explicit consent and is never shared with clients in identifiable form.
6.3 Consent to Processing: By registering, you consent to the Company processing your personal data for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy, including identity verification, project matching, quality assurance, and statutory compliance (including TDS deduction where applicable to paid engagements).
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
7.1 Platform IP: The Platform, including its design, software, the Intent Preservation Engine, Bias Detection Framework, Representation Framework, assessment content, and all related intellectual property, is owned by the Company and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Platform or its underlying technology.
7.2 Assessment and Task Content & IP Assignment: Any work product, responses, or annotations you submit during an assessment or paid task on the Platform may be used by the Company for evaluation, quality benchmarking, and training data purposes. For any paid engagement, you hereby assign all right, title, and interest in and to such Work Product to the Company, without any claim for additional compensation beyond the agreed fees.
7.3 Limited Licence to Users: The Company grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for the purpose of registration, assessment, and (if engaged) performance of assigned tasks, subject to these Terms.
7.4 Waiver of Moral Rights: To the extent any rights in the Work Product may not be assigned under applicable law, you hereby irrevocably waive all moral rights, including the right to claim authorship or to object to any distortion or modification of the Work Product.
7.5 Consent to Use of Likeness and Voice: You hereby grant your express consent to the Company and its end client(s) to record, use, reproduce, distribute, and adapt your voice, likeness, name, and image, in any media format, as part of or in connection with the Work Product, for educational, commercial, or internal purposes, without further approval or compensation.
7.6 Originality and No Third-Party Rights: You confirm that all Work Product provided by you is original, does not infringe any third-party rights, and is not subject to any third-party licences, restrictions, or obligations.
8. CONFIDENTIALITY
8.1 Platform Confidentiality: Any non-public information you access through the Platform, including assessment content, task materials, project briefs, or information about the Company's methodology, clients, or business operations, is confidential and must not be disclosed, copied, or shared with any third party.
8.2 No Publicity: You shall not publicise, disclose, or discuss your registration, assessment results, or any engagement with the Company on social media, public forums, or with third parties, without the Company's prior written consent, except to confirm in general terms that you work or have worked with AI Signal Labs.
8.3 Survival: This confidentiality obligation survives the termination or deactivation of your account.
9. COMPENSATION FOR PAID WORK
9.1 Indicative Rates Only: Any compensation ranges displayed on the Platform (for example, ₹100–₹1000/hour) are indicative only and depend on the specific project, task complexity, and your qualification level. Actual rates will be confirmed in the applicable SOW or task assignment prior to commencement of work.
9.2 Payment Terms: Payment for completed and approved work shall be made in accordance with the terms set out in the applicable Consulting Services Agreement and SOW, and is contingent upon satisfactory completion and quality approval of the work.
9.3 Taxes: You are solely responsible for any taxes applicable to payments received, except for TDS, which the Company will deduct and deposit as required under the Income Tax Act, 1961, for which a TDS certificate will be issued.
9.4 Condition Precedent for Payment: You understand and agree that your digital acceptance of these Terms, specifically the Intellectual Property assignments and waivers in Clause 7, is a mandatory condition for your deployment on any Company project and for the release of any payments due for your services.
10. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
10.1 Termination by User: You may deactivate your account at any time by writing to contact@aisignallab.com or hiring@aisignallab.com.

10.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately.
