For annotators

Your language is a skill. Get paid for it.

We pay native speakers across India to write, transcribe, rate, and record in their own languages: work you can do from your phone, with clear feedback every time.

How the work flows

Four steps from sign-up to your first task.

  1. 01

    Create your account

Tell us who you are and which languages you speak, including the ones you mix every day. We verify your email with a one-time code.

  2. 02

    Pass a short assessment

Before you receive paid work, a short assessment confirms your fluency. It's how we keep the quality bar high for everyone.

  3. 03

    Tasks arrive in your queue

When a project matches your languages, tasks appear in your queue. Claim one and do the work in natural language. Write it the way you'd actually say it.

  4. 04

    Get feedback, build your record

Every submission is checked, and you see the outcome. Returned work comes with specific feedback so you can fix it; strong work builds your rating.

What to expect

Built for the way you already work.

Work from your phone

Your task queue is built for mobile. Claim a task, do the work, submit. No laptop required.

Feedback on every submission

You see what happened to each task. If something is returned, you get specific feedback and a chance to fix it.

Your quality record travels with you

Consistently strong work builds your rating, and stronger ratings are first in line for new projects.

Who we're looking for

Native fluency, in any of these.

You don't need annotation experience; you need to genuinely live the language. Reading and writing comfortably on a smartphone is enough to start.

Annotator FAQs

The essentials on getting tasks, maintaining quality, receiving support, and getting paid.

01

How do I get tasks?

Tasks are matched using your assessment eligibility, availability, languages, annotation skills, domain experience, project fit, and the work currently available. A complete profile gives the matching system the best signal.

02

How is my work reviewed?

Automated quality checks form the first layer. AI Signal Lab and project reviewers then audit samples, investigate flagged work, and may return a task with specific feedback so it can be corrected.

03

When can I withdraw my earnings?

The minimum redeemable balance is shown as **** in Earnings. Once your available balance meets the configured threshold, and your profile, identity, and payout account are verified, the withdrawal action becomes available.

04

How and when am I paid?

Approved work is added to your earnings balance. Payout timing and status are visible in Earnings. You will need verified bank details and the identity checks requested by the platform before your first withdrawal.

05

What is background verification (BGV)?

BGV is a project- or payout-specific identity and eligibility check. If one is required, the platform will tell you what is needed. Never send identity documents to an individual over chat; use only the secure platform flow or the official support channel.

06

Why does my background matter?

AI systems need signals from more than one city, language, and worldview. Your context can improve representation and can help match you to work where lived or domain experience is relevant. Optional sensitive details are stored only with your consent.

07

What happens if I do not pass an assessment?

If you do not pass the first assessment, a second attempt with different questions is available immediately. If both attempts are unsuccessful, one third and final assessment opens after a seven-day cool-off; we email you when it is ready. Your assessment screen shows the exact date or remaining time, your best score remains saved, and no fourth attempt is available.

08

Do I have to pay to register, train, or receive work?

No. AI Signal Lab has a Zero-Fee Guarantee. We do not charge registration fees, training fees, security deposits, or fees to unlock tasks. Report anyone asking for money in our name.

09

Who pays me if I joined through a vendor?

If you joined through a third-party vendor, the vendor is responsible for your payment unless your project or contract explicitly says otherwise. Ask the vendor first and contact platform support if the project information is inconsistent.

10

Where can I get help?

Use the project help channel for task instructions and the official support email for account, platform, verification, or payment problems. Include the project or task ID, but never email passwords or one-time verification codes.
